Hi! My name is Madison Hause. I am a high school student, passionate about teaching my peers in 11th and 12th grade the financial knowledge I have learned about the next step in our lives; college. I started this page and created a video for my Girl Scout Gold Award project with a goal to both teach, and to spread the word about the lack of life skills education in high school.

I feel I have not learned enough through school about the real world to be confident in my future success. I have not been educated on how to be financially responsible for myself. Like other people my age, I deserve to understand how to take care of myself in such an unusual world, so that I may be financially successful in college, and knowledgeable in my decisions about student loans.

The sad reality is student loans are a complicated mess, unfamiliar to the average high school student. The education system lacks the classes and content needed for these students to be successful. My peers deserve to know and understand what they are getting themselves into when they sign up for student loans in college. That information deserves to be in the hands of those who need it.
